Nitrogen – the environmentally friendly choice.

As companies set higher demands for sustainability, safety and efficiency, nitrogen has become a preferred gas in a wide range of industries. Not only is it stable and operationally reliable — it is also one of the most environmentally friendly choices you can make in production. But why do so many choose nitrogen over CO₂, oxygen or other technical gases? ### A natural part of the air — with no harmful impact Nitrogen makes up about 78% of the air we all breathe. That means that when nitrogen is released, it simply returns to its natural cycle — without any form of pollution, greenhouse effect or environmental impact. It is one of the few industrial choices where you can be both technically efficient and climate-responsible. ### Inert and non-reactive — creates safety in the process Nitrogen is an inert gas, which means it does not react chemically with other substances under normal conditions. That makes it an ideal choice when you want to prevent oxidation, fire or product degradation. Compared with oxygen, which can be explosive, and carbon dioxide, which has environmental challenges, nitrogen stands out as the safe and stable alternative. ### Health and safety first Unlike many other industrial gases, nitrogen is neither toxic, corrosive nor flammable. That gives both employees and employers a higher degree of safety — especially in closed systems or sensitive environments such as laboratories, food production and the electronics industry. ### Flexibility across industries Nitrogen is used in a multitude of industries: - In the food industry to extend shelf life without additives - In the metal industry for laser cutting and heat treatment - In the energy sector for pressure testing and system cleaning - In pharmaceutical and chemical processes, where purity and stability are all-important Its versatility means companies can reduce the number of gases and standardise their operations — to the benefit of both economy and the environment. ### On-site production reduces the CO₂ footprint Another important advantage of nitrogen is that it can be produced directly on site via PSA or membrane technology. That eliminates the need for transport and storage of cylinders or tanks — and thereby also unnecessary CO₂ emissions associated with logistics. On-site nitrogen is both green and economical. ### Responsible operations When companies seek a gas solution that unites safety, sustainability and technical strength, nitrogen is the obvious choice. It is nature's own gas — used thoughtfully to create a more responsible industry.
